ABOUT GRAND RAPIDS SWING DANCE INC
asdf
The Grand Rapids Original Swing Society (GROSS) was established in 2004 with a mission to promote positive social and healthy lifestyle choices by teaching the art of swing and ballroom dance. This will fulfill our vision of activating neighborhood parks, schools, museums with regular dance classes and sessions for regional citizens of all ages. GROSS provides free community dances for individuals of any age and skill level to enjoy. The desired outcome that drives GROSS programming is an increase in positive social and healthy lifestyle choices. Dancing as a social activity enhances participants’ interpersonal skill development in joining an activity, sharing, and asking for permission. Regular GROSS attendees form relationships and build a community around their enjoyment of dance, develop a healthy lifestyle, and reap the benefits of having an active hobby.
Our programming consists of free, public dance sessions taught by professional dance instructors.
